Kirsten Butera

Kirsten Butera holds an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University and a B.A. in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Before entering the mental health field, she spent seven years as a contemplative nun, three years as a university missionary with FOCUS, and two years as a lay missionary with LAMP in the Bronx, a formation that gives her writing an unusual depth on questions of vocation, suffering, and what it means to be accompanied. At CatholicPsych, she serves as a Certified Mentor and Training Director, bringing six years of experience in psycho-spiritual accompaniment to her work with individuals navigating vocational discernment, infertility, grief, and spiritual integration.
